Cw 6609 The Dock pub Amble Amble is a small town on the north east coast of Northumberland in North East England. It was a former mining and fishing town, with most of the signs of the mining having disappeared though there is still a small fishing fleet that works out of the harbour. As befits a former costal town based on mining and fishing there are a good few pubs in the town, this one being the Dock pub on Queen Street in Amble. A free house pub in a fine stone built building. The town of Amble has been undergoing a renaissance in recent years and is now considered a trendy and fashionable place to live, being recently named by the Sunday Times Newspaper as one of the places to live in 2019.
