Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Statue. The Mall, London, England.


Statue of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, unveiled on the 24th february 2009, to commemorate the life of this significant member of the British Royal family who died in 2002. Positioned in front of the statue of her late husband King George VI, it was designed by sculpter Philip Jackson and depicts her at the age of around her mid 50's, so as to compliment the statue of her husband. Also, she is wearing the formal robes of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, the same robes as her husband is wearing.
