A once healthy tree infiltrated by Chalara fungus (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus), popularly called ash dieback disease. Tree also infected by “King Alfred’s Cakes”, black fruiting bodies of Coal balls, or Carbon Balls, or Fire-starting Fungus (Daldinia concentricia).
