The Canadian National Railway Bridge over the Mississippi River, linking Dubuque Iowa to East Dubuque, Illinois. The bridge dates to 1869 just after the American Civil War and was significantly upgraded until being rebuilt into its current configuration in 1899. The bridge length totals 1,260 Feet that includes a 360-foot swing span which allows river traffic to pass when swung open. That span can be seen open in the image in the distance near the Illinois side of the river.
