A Polar Bear hunting seals on rotten sea ice off the north coast of Spitsbergen, Svalbard only 500 miles from the North Pole. Climate change poses a huge threat to Polar Bears. As the sea ice retreats, they lose ground and time to hunt their main prey, seals, which they can only hunt on sea ice. Latest research shows that the Arctic will be free of sea ice by the 2050's and Polar Bears will become extinct in the wild.
