By running a plow, such as is used for breaking sod, along one side of the rows, held crops of Parsnips will be thrown out so that they can be harvested easily. Deep, rich, heavy soil is best suited to the culture of Parsnips, but on any deep, rich, mellow soil the yield is good per acre, and the roots will be smooth and large if no fresh manure is used ; this te"11?,!0 make lhel? coarse-grained and misshapen.
