Cairo, Egypt. 12 August 2020. A polling station in the Dokki district of Giza city, in Greater Cairo, where Egyptians cast their vote for the newly created senate. The body was reconstituted as part of constitutional amendments that also allowed President Sissi to extend his stay in power. The Senate elections have been held at 11,500 polling stations across Egypt on Tuesday and Wednesday, amidst restrictive measures in place to curb a resurgence of Covid-19 infections
