A teppo, Japan, mid 19th century, round smooth bore ikkaku barrel in calibre 16 mm and suriwari sight, inscribed "...Kunitomo ". Barrel with brass decorations of frogs and snakes and sawairi nunome zogan (of later date?). Brass lock with internal spring. Lacquered kashi wood stock, large trigger guard, iron ramrod (a replacement). Mounting for the fire guard and front sight missing, barrel partially bumped, stock with small cracks. Length 96 cm.
