Attending principals include Secretary of the Treasury Steven Terner Mnuchin and Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Varadaraj Pai. President Trump directed the Cabinet to work together and find ways for the federal government “to promote American agriculture and protect the rural communities where food, fiber, forestry and many of our renewable fuels” and economic resources are cultivated. The Task Force will seek input from stakeholders and is required to issue a report with recommendations for legislative or administrative actions within 180 days. The Secretary of Agriculture serves as the Chair and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides administrative support and funding for the Task Force. The Task Force consists of representatives from the cabinet agencies and executive branch departments. USDA
