Consequently, no one budget can be used in figuringthe tax levy for any given year. Bymeans of the Taxation Readjustment Law, drawn at the request of the comp-troller and passed by the Legislature in 1913, the city will eventually come tothe point whereby a single tax levy will cover a single budget.
