Thetomb of Louis de Breze, husband of the famous Diane de Poitiers,and the door and doorways of the Church of St. Maclou, of Rouen,are fine examples of the sixteenth century Renaissance. TheFrench government has kindly presented to the American people alarge number of these casts, with the understanding that they areto be placed in some American art museum. This grand collectionvvas obtained chiefly through the exertions of Prof Halsey C.
