Engraved marble plaque on front of Santa Maria della morte showing death, or a winged skeleton, with the inscription "today me, tomorrow you" written in Latin. The church built in 1575 was run by a charitable confraternity which collected the bodies of unknown peasants from the outlying countryside and buried them in the cemetary under and behind the church. A hole in the wall invites the public to give money for the cost of the candles perpetually lit in the cemetary.
