Lichfield Cathedral Charles II


Lichfield Cathedral, weather-beaten statue of Charles II, formerly at the apex of the west front. Inscription reads that he was the "Restaurator" of the Anglican Church. Now under a canopy on the south side of the Cathedral. Carved by Sir William Wilson 1641-1710.
