A person who believes that their body is infested with invisible parasites under the skin suffers from the condition known as delusional parasitosis also known as Eckbom's syndrome. This disorder can be caused by drug abuse. Sufferers often harm themselves with excessive skin scratching. Doctors treat the condition using antipsychotic drugs.
