Ciliata (Fringed Loose Strife). Grows 2 feet high; yellow flowers in July. Clethroides (Loose-strife). A fine hardy variety, about 2 feet high, with long, dense, recurved spikes of pure white flowers from July to September. (See cut.) Nummularia (Creeping Jenny, or Money-wort). Valuable for planting under trees or shrubs where grass will not grow, where it quickly forms a dense carpet, 10 cts. each; $ per doz.; $ per 100. Punctata.
