Stained Glass Window by Lavers & Barraud depicting Christ Raising Jairus' Daughter, Dixton Church, Monmouthshire, Wales


This window installed in 1862 depicts Christ Raising Jarius' Daughter and the Son of the Widow of Nain. This detail shows the former story. The window is thought to have been designed by John Pollard Seddon (1826 - 1907) and installed by the stained glass firm Lavers and Barraud. The cartoon for this window is housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
