Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour, 1764 (1901). Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764) was the mistress of Louis XV of France. This picture is a copy of a detail from her memorial portrait, which was painted by her favourite artist, Francois Hubert Drouais.
