Malde of Wisconsin on his way back from Europe noticed . some cranberries in a shop in , Liverpool. On making inquires he > found that they were grown in Russia and were about the size of what is known as pie berries in Wisconsin. They were in poor shape being soft and mushy. The dealer informed Mr. Malde that he had handled American berries and there was a good sale for them but that he had not been able to get them of late. The foreign market is being neglected. There is an opportunity to sell American cranberries abroad if anyone would take advantage of it LARGER SAUCE PACK IN '58 THAN '57 The cranberry sauce pack for 1958 exceeded that for 1957, ac- cording to statistics of National Canners Association, Washington, D. C. The United States total for 1957 was 5,752,320 cases, while that for 1958 was 6,114,624.
