NathanClark was elected town clerk and treasurer ofthe town of Bethany in 1855. and held thoseoffices continuously until 1881. He was electedprobate judge in 18*52, and held the office con-tinuously until his death in 1893. He was alsopostmaster of Bethany for eight years, from1855 to 1863. He was a member of the Congrega-tional Society and was a member of the So-cietys Commiitee for nearly thirty years. DEA.
