North of Yorkshire thebird also becomes rare, although we can trace itas a breeding species as far as the valley of theForth. But one instance of its visiting Ireland(on abnormal migration) has been recorded. TheLesser Whitethroat is found during summer overmost parts of Europe, up to, or even slightlybeyond, the Arctic Circle, and is also a visitor atthat season to Asia Minor and Palestine.
