The burial place and chapel of Governor-General Peter von Scholten in the Assistens Cemetery in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The burial place and chapel of the Governor-General of the Danish West-Indies Islands, Saint Thomas, Saint Croix, and Saint John, Peter Carl Frederik von Scholten in the Assistens Cemetery in Copenhagen. Known for the emancipation of slaves in the Danish islands July 3, 1848. This is, however, highly controversia and the period of slavery a dark spot in Danish history. The Danish West-Indies Islands are now the Virgin Islands.
