The World Bowls Competiton at Northfield 2019 Bowls Scotland National Championships too place at the National Centre for Bowling at Northfield in Ayr from Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th July. Bowls, or lawn bowls, is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a "jack" or "kitty". It is played on a bowling green, which may be flat or convex or uneven.

Bowls were once only available coloured black or brown, but they are now available in a variety of colours. Northfield is the venue for the international competition , singles, and pairs
