Nature Study.—The whole realm of science is too broad for elementarynature study. Interest will be most easily created in those phenomena thataffect us, and those plants, insects and animals that make for our happinessor misery. Every child will come later to a hand-to-hand contest with theelements in field, garden, or lawn, and the rules of the battle are interestingto him now.
