A kingfisher mid-dive. Leeds, UK: THESE INCREDIBLE images show a kingfisher as it appears underwater fishing blind with its eyes closed. One image shows a kingfisher clinging a fish in its beak while another shows it swinging it at a branch. Kingfishers are identifiable from its bright blue and yellow colours. They measure around inches long and weighed around 12 grams. These images were captured by MOT tester and photographer Les Liddle (65) in Leeds, using a Sony A1 camera. ?Every time I see a kingfisher it?s just like the first time,? said Les. ?They close their eyes as they dive into the water, so they are fishing blind. ?I love the colours and the detail. ?I was elated after capturing these mediadrumimages/LesLiddle
