Portland stone sculpture "The Way" by Hamish Horsley leads the eye to the tower of Durham cathedral. The sculpture is situated in Wharton Park, adjacent to Durham City railway station. It was originally commissioned by British Rail for Gateshead Garden Festival in 1990.
