His Imperial Majesty Haile Sellasi, “King of Kings of Ethiopia, Conquering Lion of the Triabe of Judah, the Elect of God, and the Light of the World,” claimed descent from King Solomon; with his wife, the Empress Menen, the Crown Prince Asfaou (center) and little Prince Makonen. The photograph was made in the Imperial Palace at Addis Adbeba, Ethiopia.
