HAMPSHIRE; WINCHESTER; THE CATHEDRAL; WEST FRONT
The cathedral was founded i the mid seventh century. The king of the West Saxons founded a ministery here which became a cathedral in 670. The Norman cathedral as begun in 1079. William Wynford remodelled the nave and arcades from 1394. Remodelling the wesr front was completed in 1410e
