Ear Ornament (2 of 2), c. 1200-1519. Mexico, Guerrero, Ichcatiopan, Mixtec or Aztec. Obsidian, crystal; overall: x cm (1 x 7/8 in.). This set of ear ornaments was reputedly found together with the gold and jade pectoral ornament shown nearby. They may have accompanied a noble burial, or perhaps constituted an offering deposit.
