On the Puerto Vallarta malecon a small child contemplates Eriza-Dos, the iron sea urchin modern sculpture by artist Blu.

This prickly pair of sea urchins, "Eriza-Dos," was created by artist Blu (AKA Maritza Vazquez) of Guadalajara for a temporary exhibition in Puerto Vallarta in 2007. But when the iron sculpture was so warmly received by the locals, Blu donated it to Puerto Vallarta where it remains on the Malecon. Here a small child contemplates the enormous iron sculpture on the malecon, which appears to many like a World War II sea bomb. The photo almost says, "Danger!" Though the child is quite safe and it's a peaceful scene with the Bay of Banderas and Nuevo Vallarta showing in the distance.
