Nature reserve areas - in German: Naturschutzgebiet - are not uniformly marked in Germany. In addition to the black owl in an yellow pentagon, is also used the green triangle with eagle or owl. The yellow sign is used in the East German states and in Schleswig-Holstein, as here in the nature reserve Rantum basin on the island of Sylt.
