Eidfjord, Norway - 31 May 2016; no people in viiew. Eidfjord is a small town in Hardanger District, on the west coast of Norway. It is situated at the end of the Eidfjorden, an inner branch of the large Hardangerfjorden, and is a common stopping place for scenic cruises. The steep sides of its fjord, shown here, show ample evidence of glacial abrasion and rock carving during recent Ice Ages. The trees give you a good idea of the scale of this epic geological feature.
