Workers Recycle Building Materials Salvaged from Deconstruction of a House
Detroit, Michigan - A worker glues together reclaimed lumber to make butcher-block counter tops at a warehouse operated by the nonprofit WARM Training Center. The lumber was salvaged from homes being "deconstructed." Deconstruction, an alternative to standard demolition, takes a building apart piece by piece with the intent of re-using as much as possible.
