Since it began business in this country, twenty-seven years ago it haspaid in benefits the great sum of two hundred and twenty-eight millions four hundredand forty-seven thousand and twenty dollars, in the United States and Canada Theother fraternal associations in the State carrying life insurance, and which would comeunder this subject-matter, are younger in years than this great order, but they aregrowing rapidly, and many of them with a safer policy, which insures a larger mem-bership and a surer protection for those seeking fraternal insurance, for the reasonthat younger orders
