The upper labials are 7-7, the lower 8-8; the preoculars 1-1, the 3-3; the anterior temporals 2-2, the posterior, 2-3. The scales are 19-17-15, with all but the outer row keeled at midbody. There are 148 ventrals and 65 subcaudals. The anal is divided and the total length is 283 mm., of which is occupied by the tail. The specimen is a Fig. 8. Pseudoxenodon sinensis Boulenger.
