Many churches, clubs and other organizations served dinner, and theaters and movies drew crowds afterward. No decorating was done by the hotels or cafes, save in rare in- stances. The Thanksgiving clean-up dis- posed of everything on hand that day. Big crops have been cut each day since and the growers will keep on cutting for a week or two. What About Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving as a flower day is going backward instead of forward. The vol- ume of business is increasing each year in keeping with the rest of the month, but compared with Christmas, Easter and Decoration day, Thanksgiving is not keeping up its stride. The cause, per- haps, is a falling off in the old spirit of hospitality and the
