The view taken in 1828 shows the Italian Opera House or Theatre Royal Italien was designed by the architect M Heurtier. It was considerably altered by De Wailly and in 1797 Bienaimé made many changes to the interior. The Italian Company moved from the Theatre Feydeau to the opera house or the Théâtre Favart. The image was drawn by T T Bury under the direction of A Pugin and engraved by J Tingle
