Summer evening view, from Jackson Lake Lodge, towards a blue-grey sky with black and orange-red sunset clouds above Teton Range Elk Mountain (3267 metres), Doane Peak (3461 metres) and Bivouac Peak (3299 metres). A dark Mount Moran (3842 metres) is visible left of shot. Mount Moran was named after landscape artist, Thomas Moran, who travelled north of the Teton Mountains to Yellowstone with the hayden Expedition in 1871. His sketches and watercolours helped popularise Yellowstone and convince Congress to establish it as the world's first national park.
