Forensics fingerprinting material testing. Researcher using a thermometer to measure the temperature of a finger on a dead body (cadaver). Cadavers may need to be fingerprinted for identification purposes. When the cadaver has been stored in a freezer, the cold temperatures can affect the process. This measurement is being taken as part of research into new materials being developed for use in fingerprint impression moulds. Photographed in 2007, at Cardiff University, Wales.
