A nest-of-weights of 8 pounds, Nuremberg, 2nd half of the 18th century Brass with dark age patina. Conical casing with richly punched decorations. Hinged lid with closure lever and movable carrying handle. The inside fitted with eight out of originally ten stackable weights, the smallest weight probably associated. The lid punched "8" (pound) "A" (Austria) along with the rooster mark of a Nuremberg founder. The casing marked with "4" on the inside, as well as an Austrian eagle mark.
