A shepherd moves his flock of sheep past blooming almond trees during a cloudy spring day in Pulwama. The spring season in the Kashmiri language is called "Sonth." It spans a period of two months, commencing from mid-March and concluding in mid-May. This season rejuvenates and brings life to the greenery, trees, and flowers after the colder winter months. During spring, plants begin to grow again, with new seedlings sprouting out of the ground.
