Plocton, Loch Carron, North West Highlands, Scotland
An example of a West Coast planned village, begun by the Earl of Seaforth. Set on the east side of a great headland, sticking out into Loch Carron, it is protected from the sea gales and looks onto a safe anchorage. Plocton has appeared in numerous film & television productions, including 3 series of 'Hamish Macbeth' by BBC television between 1995 & 1997.
