An Austrian flintlock rifle,Wenzel Spazierer of Vienna,circa 1780. Smooth-bore octagonal barrel in 14 mm calibre,on upper side elaborately etched vine décor retaining remnants of gilding,signed "Wenzel Spatzirer In Wien". Modestly engraved flintlock,also signed,(mechanism defective). Carved walnut Capuchin full stock with silver furniture(several hallmarks),butt cap somewhat dented. Wooden ramrod with horn tip.
