A view of an empty, deserted street in Lisbon downtown, after the Portuguese government imposed curfew starting from is again placed in mandatory confinement according to the state of emergency measures announced by the government and applied in the 121 high-risk councils. These measures were imposed last Sunday, and came into effect from November 9, 2020, by Prime Minister António Costa and his cabinet. In the last 24 hours, Portugal has registered 4,096 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 63 deaths according to data from the Directorate General of Health (DGS).
