It appears right to separate this from G. excelsa, as Kurz wrote Blumes tree differs so much from the above in thelong peduncles, large hirsute capsules, and in the texture and pubes-cence of the leaves, that it is difficult to understand how it couldhave come to be identified with the Khasi and Sikkim (in this Journal No. 73, p. 142) has called attention to thelarge pustules from which the hairs spring on the backs of theleaves. It was collected first by Griffith at Dewangiri where heentered what is now Bhutan, and then afterwards in the Khasihills by Kurz. Mr. C. C. Cal
