Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire, UK. 1st May, 2021. Stillness returned to the ancient woodland of Jones Hill Wood today as HS2 have stopped felling due to the May Bank Holiday Weekend. HS2 have been felling beech trees in the ancient woodland of Jones Hill Wood despite it being the bird nesting season and that rare Barbastelle bats are known to roost in the woods.
