View SE from the rear of Coldrum Neolithic long barrow, Kent, England, UK, showing the rounded sarsen boulder edging stones, & the burial chamber at its E end. As the rectangular mound (23m x 18m) weathered, the kerb stones fell inwards & some slipped downhill when the E end collapsed. Pottery fragments, a flint saw & remains of at least 24 men, women & children were found inside. All were small, long-headed 'Neolithic types' with healthy teeth, & shinbones flattened by constant squatting, several showing a family similarity.
