The names of service personnel are inscribed onto India Gate in New Delhi, India. The arch was built as a war memorial to the service personnel of the British Indian Army who lost their lives during World War One. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and unveiled as the All India War Memorial. The arch is inscribed with the names of all the servicemen who fell and the regiments in which they served.
