Collared Wild Dog, Lyacon pictus

The Cape Hunting Dog is one of the worlds rarest carnivores and teeters on the brink of extinction. They are still killed out of hand by farmers but the greatest threat is infection from domestic dogs with a range of diseases such as canine distempter, rabies and parvo virus.
