Eagle F15C combat fighter

This aeroplane is designed as an air to air combat fighter with excellent manoeuvrability and acceleration . It is designed so that one person can perform air to air combat while also having aboard electronic systems and weaponry to detect acquire and track enemy aircraft even while flying in enemy controlled airspace by using a head up display in front of the pilot . The plane carries a APG 63 doppler radar which was developed over 20 years ago and although improved is now showing signs of age yet the Eagle s aerodynamics and maneouvrability are still equal to newer aircraft . Manufactured by McDonnell Douglas Corporation this aircraft is powered by Two Pratt Whitney F100 PW 100 turbofan engines with afterburners producing in the region of 25000 pounds lb s each engine 11250 kilograms kg s of thrust with a speed of about 1875 mph Mach plus at 45000 ft feet . Maximum Takeoff Weight C and D models is around 68000 pounds 30600 kilograms
