Night image of the Naga Monument, devotees in front, built in 2016 in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, features a large 7-headed brass Naga serpent statue facing North across the Mekong River. Costing 9 million baht, the sculpture is meters wide, meters high, and weighs 9 tons. Named Phaya Si Sattanakharat, it's considered the largest brass Naga sculpture in Northeast Thailand. The Naga, central to Thai mythology and Buddhism, played a crucial role in protecting the Buddha during enlightenment, as in the story of Mucalinda, the 7-headed Naga.
